BOOK ON SUCHITRA SEN LAUNCHED AT KOLKATA

Shoma A. Chatterji, well-known film critic, journalist, and the author has penned down this nuanced biography that unveils the many dimensions of Suchitra Sen persona. The book “Suchitra Sen: The legend and the Enigma” was launched on 20th January at Starmark outlet of Quest Mall in association with Harper Collins Publishers, India. The book was launched in the auspicious presence of the protagonist’s daughter-cum-MP Smt. Moon Moon Sen as the chief guest of the evening and her grand-daughters actress Raima Sen, Riya Sen. The National Award winning author has sketched the legendary romantic star, her slow, steady metamorphosis into a powerful artist; her working women roles at a time when women were seen as mere appendages to the narrative; and her willful social seclusion which spawned many a conspiracy theory; through her words in this book.
